Your payment is held by a smart contract for 24 hours, so you can cancel and get your full amount back if anything goes wrong.

Smart Contract Holds
Cancel or Let It Settle
What "reversible" means: the funds are locked in the contract before settlement. Within 24 hours, you can call it back and the contract returns your full amount.
Standard transfers settle in seconds and are permanent. A reversible transfer is different: the funds are held by a smart contract first, so you can get them back within 24 hours.
Broadcast and settled within seconds or minutes
Confirmed transfers cannot be reversed
No dispute-resolution mechanism between parties
For known and trusted recipients, standard transfers are fast, simple, and work exactly as expected.
Funds go to a smart contract that holds them for 24 hours
Cancel within that window, and the contract returns your full amount
The recipient can’t access the funds until release
Instead of settling directly to the recipient, your funds are held by a smart contract while you stay in control.
Three phases. One smart contract. Full control in your hands.
Select Normal Transfer, enter the recipient and amount, confirm. Funds go to the TransactionReversalContract, a custom, publicly verified smart contract.
The contract locks your funds for 24 hours. The recipient can’t access them. You can cancel or speed up at any time.
You cancel, you speed up, or the funds auto-release after 24 hours. Explore each outcome below.
At any point before the hold period expires, you can cancel and get your funds back instantly.
Click Cancel on the pending transaction
The extension calls cancelTransaction on the smart contract
The contract verifies you are the original sender
The full transfer amount returns to your wallet
The scheduled backend release job is cancelled
Gas fees: The blockchain gas fee paid at initiation is non-refundable. It was already consumed by the blockchain transaction.
Good for: Mistakes, wrong addresses, no-shows.
Publicly deployed and verified on every supported blockchain. Anyone can read the source code on the respective block explorer.
Every transfer requires a one-time signature bound to sender, receiver, amount, chain, contract, and a timestamp window. Replay attacks are impossible.
ReentrancyGuard prevents reentrancy attacks. Ownable2Step handles safe ownership. Pausable gives emergency pause capability.
If the contract is paused, emergencyWithdraw returns all pending funds to the original senders. You are never permanently locked out.
Two transfer modes. One extra layer of safety.

During the 24-hour hold, your funds sit in a self-executing smart contract, not with Scion Wallet. The contract can only release funds to the intended recipient or return them to you.
No company, employee, or admin can redirect your money to any other address. That's not a promise; it's how the code is written.
